Earth Balance Mac and Cheese Giveaway
The vegan internet is abuzz with the advent of Earth Balance Mac and Cheese. I happen to live in a city with an all vegan grocery and picked up a box of the cheddar yesterday. And to celebrate the rebirth of my blog, I’m giving it away to one lucky winner!
All you have to do to enter is leave a comment below telling me your favorite mac and cheese mix in. Maybe you’re a broccoli fan or perhaps you like to get down with chili and cheese. Taco pirate likes her mac and cheese fried up like a burger patty.
One winner will be randomly selected from all comments. One comment per person, please. Giveaway ends on Friday, July 4th, and the winner will be announced the following Monday. US only please. This is not a promotion or sponsored by Earth Balance! I’m just willing to ship out a box to someone who may not have access to the new stuff.
Can’t wait? You can buy some through Rabbit Food Grocery while they still have it in stock.
Wooooo hoooo! I really wanna try this stuff! I didn’t grow up eating boxed Mac and cheese, I only discovered it after college (true story!!), but I used to love mixing in chopped up fresh tomatoes… So that is what I will try again!
I really like the Veg News mac and cheese recipe these days. I was fed many boxes of Kraft mac and cheese as a child; maybe the EB mac will hit nostalgic mac and cheese spot.
I never liked to mix anything in as a kid. As an adult, I love mixing in peas or sometimes chopped greens like kale and collards. My favorite is plain.
Roasted chickpeas tossed in buffalo sauce. Time consuming but worth it!
I would like to win, but I know I cannot.
All I want, is mac and cheese with hot sauce. I like to keep it simple.
Hot sauce. with a side of more hot sauce. and some cheesy mac.
I’m all about broccoli in my mac. Just thinking about it makes me drool.
My favorite add-in is always wing sauce.
Growing up my mom made a disgusting concoction at least once a week which she titled “tuna casserole.” It was boxed mac & cheese, cream of whatever soup, tuna (ew), and tinned peas. As an adult, I’ve discovered that mixing some peas (from the freezer, not from a tin… again, ew) into my mac & cheese somehow hits all the right spots when I crave that childhood comfort food. So in case you didn’t figure it out, my answer is peas. I could have left out that whole story and just said peas. Peas.
Hot dogs in mac and cheese was my favorite when I was a kid. I bet field roast frankfurters would be great in the EB Mac and cheese!
I’m a mac and cheese purist! I think Isa’s Mac Daddy is as far as I stray from the standard cheese sauce and pasta.
I’m a sucker for broccoli in mine.. and I’m eagerly awaiting this hitting our Whole Foods. Or anywhere! Thank you for the contest, Panda!
This exists?!?! Amazing. I got my husband and kid to go from the icky blue box to a better kind, but it still has dairy, so ick. And I’d LOVE to try this.
Thanks for the giveaway Panders! <3
I add spinach obsessively. It may be love or it may be addiction but either way…spinach is the only way to go!
I like to mix in black beans, tomatoes and pickled jalapenos. Nacho mac & cheese!
Chopped up hot dogs or chopped up crispy (Yves) Canadian bacon are my favorite toppings. Maybe peas, but usually I want the veggies kept away from my fake cheesy mac!
Molly ignores toppings and just sucks cheese sauce off the noodles.
I’m another purist. Occasionally I like a squirt of Sriracha or bbq sauce on my mac n’ cheese, but I’d rather have everything else on the side. Although, now I also want to try everyone else’s mix ins!
Sliced veggie hot dogs are the only add in I like, but now that I’m thinking about it, maybe fakin’ bacon would be good, too. I can’t wait to try this and hope it hits the east coast soon.
Broccoli! I can’t fathom mac & cheese without broccoli, honestly.
I never liked box mac n cheese as a non-veg, but when I went veg I made my own with the Daiya blocks and fried tempeh! I’ve been on the search for the new earth balance products but I live all the ay out in Hawai’i and have to wait a long time before they get here so I usually have to spend triple of retail because of shipping so pick me!
Garlic!
Edamame and extra nutritional yeast. It’s a sad day when I’m out of edamame for Mac and cheese.
Phoney Baloney’s coconut bacon is amazing in mac & cheese and I have unopened bag just waiting to be paired with this fantastic new offering from Earth Balance.
My favorites to mix in with mac and cheese is the classic but delicious ketchup, or I’ll add a bit of salsa.
I love adding black beans corn, and some hot sauce for a southwest style Mac and cheese.
Love to mix diced tomatoes in with our Mac and Cheese. 🙂
I add fresh basil and spinach to pretty much anything with pasta…and I can’t WAIT to try it with Earth Balance mac and cheese!
It depends on my mood. Sometimes I only want plain mac & cheese, but other times I’ll throw in broccoli, mushrooms, tomatoes, and greens! I love the ultimate baked mac and cheese recipe from the Comforting Vegan.
I would go old school simple and add in vegan hot dogs. But if I wanted to be over the top with it, I good add more cheese and even serve it as a topping on a big old veggie burger sandwiches between two grilled cheeses…holy vegan goodness, did I go too far?!
Roasted Brussels sprouts!
I am so excited to try Earth Balance’s mac & cheese, I just know it’s going to be awesome! I don’t usually mix anything in with mac & cheese but if I did, it would probably be broccoli.
Just plain old Mac and cheese for me!
Ahhhh I’ve been dying to try this! Broccoli and and maybe some vegan butter would be super yummy!
Seitan with cherry tomatoes!
Spinach, onion, black beans, and a hint of taco seasoning! It’s like a little Mexican Fiesta in a bowl. Delicious!
Soyrizo & a squeeze of lime!
mmmmm, I love mac and cheese.
I can’t wait to try this Mac and cheese. I like mine with a dusting of panko or fried onions.
I can’t wait to try this stuff!! I keep looking in our grocery store hoping to see it on the shelf, but no luck yet. I can’t wait to try it with some meatless crumbles stirred in. Kind of like a chili mac!!!
I usually add roasted corn and jalapenos to my mac and cheese. yum.
As a pregnant lady struggling against cravings from before I went vegan, I can’t express how badly I want some of this mac and cheese. They don’t sell it near me 🙁
My favorite way to dress up my mac is with chik’n, a little bit of ketchup, and a big dash of black pepper. Another good way is on a pizza with marinara sauce for dipping!
Siracha! With a lil vegan bacon! ;p mmmmMMM!:)
I turned vegan a while back, after being vegetarian for the majority of my life. I was always nostalgic for my childhood comfort foods, particularly good, steady, reliable mac and cheese. I’m so happy there’s finally a vegan option for those of us who are kitchen impaired! Always walking on the wild side, I loved my mac with some bread crumbs and jalapeño peppers for an added kick…YUM!
My favorite was mac and cheese with peas and tuna. I haven’t been able to find a good tuna alternative, but I still make a vegan cheese sauce with peas.
brussels sprouts. it sounds weird, but when it’s done right, it’s the most amazing thing
Broccoli or veggie dogs are my fave add ins. Sometimes both if I’m feeling fancy.
Mhmm, mac and cheese.
The only thing I add to my mac & cheese is extra love.
I picked up a box at Food Fight! and I found the flavor just ok (pretty good at first but had a weird after-taste). However, when I mixed it with the garlicky collard greens I was having along side it became really great! A combo better than the sum of its parts.
P.S. I don’t need to win, I just wanted to talk about food.
Broccoli is where it’s at, but I want to try it with soyrizo. Mmm.
Fresh crushed organic garlic! And salt and pepper of course.
Oops, I put the first one in the wrong place…
Okay, I know this is gross/weird, but I got this from a friend years ago and thought it was pretty yummy, so I still do it.
Mac & Cheese, refrigerated 1 day in fridge, reheated and remoistened with … mayonnaise :/ So good though! Earth balance mac & cheese with Vegenaise = win 😉
always broccoli! yum!
I love putting ketchup in mine 😛 I also love onions, broccoli, black beans, and strawnberries. Not all at the same time though!
gotta hit it with some roasted buffalo tempeh made with franks and earth balance duhh!
Black beans and onion! 😀 Or broccoli! 🙂
My favorite mix in is Morning Star hotdogs! They’re the best and even better with mac n cheese 🙂
I have been waiting for vegan Mac n Cheese… This is great! I like Mac n Cheese baked in the oven with bread crumbs. When I prefer something simpler, I’ll just add ketchup. 🙂
dulse. It sounds weird, but it’s umami heaven!
6 years a vegan and I have yet to ditch that cheese craving! My favorite “fancy” Mac & Cheese additions would have to be sundried tomatoes, basil, capers, and spinach. When I was younger and I didn’t have access to those wonderful ingredients I would add garlic powder, dried basil, and bread crumbs. DELICIOUSNESS. Great, now I’m starving.
Never taint the mac & cheese! But sometimes I like caramalized onions, garlic, mushrooms, and tempeh. Okay, now I’m hungry.
Broccoli is my favorite classic addition. Truffle oil in mac is amazing for a fancier treat.
I haven’t been able to find this yet so I would love to get a chance to try it! I love adding chopped tomatoes to my mac and cheese.
Tabasco!
Broccoli, cumin, tarragon, hot sauce, and barbecue sauce, with chipotle peppers diced in if I have them handy! Mmmmmm
My favorite add in is steamed kale. Adds great flavor and color to an already great food!
Favorite mix in is definitely diced tomatoes! Plus some sautéed garlic, spinach, and red pepper flakes.
