Food That Looks Like My Cat: Cheddar Biscuits
As I made some Bisquick cheddar biscuits yesterday in the Rollie, I though perhaps if they were baked, the biscuits might qualify as a food that looks like my cat. The Rollie doesn’t really brown food, so I did some more mix and popped a small batch in the oven. The results:
I am a fan of these biscuits and have heard they are reminiscent of the Red Lobster biscuits. I have never eaten at Red Lobster but I do like garlic and I do like cheezey biscuits.
George was in no mood for sitting when I tried to photograph him next to the biscuits. Maybe George doesn’t like garlic. Maybe George just never sits still from the hours of nine to eleven AM. But even with this blurry photo you can see that the Bisquick cheddar garlic biscuits are a lighter color than George and thus not the best candidate for food that looks like my cat.
I’d say they are a bit close to cream Burmese colour, but a little darker. Or maybe a bit more champagne tabby. Though they don’t quite match that either. What colour are these biscuits?
Bisquick colored with a hint of cheddar?
I am so enjoying your posts this month. They are giving me such a laugh.
Thank you! It’s so good to hear. It’s a bit unconventional for the MoFo.
Yummy looking biscuits and handsome looking George. Too bad bisquick doesn’t make a whole wheat version – that would probably look more like George.
I want those biscuits. I’m kicking myself for not taking home a huge box of Bisquick when I visited. I can get it here, but it’s stupid expensive.
They are so good. The Bisquick has been great for mofo experimentation.
I am also enjoying your posts this month! And the bonus pictures of George.
George does not seem to be a fan of the biscuits at all! I think they look yummy! More for you!!
yesss! George biscuits. They totally look like him and boy oh boy do I want cheddar biscuits! I only had the red lobster ones a few times, but I still remember them.
George!! He’s really not interested in those biscuits at all, next time you need to wrap them in cellophane or something so that the crinkling will lure him in!
I always enjoy your mofo posts and “food that looks like my cat” has replaced tasteless tablescapes as my favorite theme.
Thank you!!
Best. Poor George, uninterested in biscuits. Maybe if they had catnip instead of garlic?
Other than a very brief moment, George has so far been uninterested in the nip.
hahahah george it toes unimpressed by your biscuits! They look great to me though.
gah, rubbish spelling, Sal. Should have said is totes unimpressed!
George looks delicious.
I mean the biscuits!
