Support Handmade: 20 Days of Handmade

I say this every year during the holidays but this year I am saying it even louder: support handmade! It is no secret that I am a fan of small, independent, and creative businesses. So for the month of December I will be highlighting such a business every day on my blog. A lot of these businesses are people I have met over the years but some are handcrafters whose work I own or simply admire.

Please consider supporting some of these creators this month! You don’t need to get great uncle Algie another pair of socks when you can buy him a 6 pack of whoopie pies, an PRG, or a custom made mug. Check back on December 1st to see my first business pick!

Personalized Pet Ornaments Cat and Dog

It’s th personlaized pet ornaments at time of year again! Personalized pet ornaments are back at Panda With Cookie!

These are easy to order and make wonderful Christmas gifts for any pet lover on your list. Send a photo of your cats and dogs to pandawithcookie at gmail dot com and I will email back with a price quote and any questions I have. I’ll then work on creating your pet pattern and send in progress photos for approval before the final sewing.

These are one of my favorite items to make at this time of year. Turnaround is as quick as a week and I’m already in production on orders.

I also have a new personalized pet item this year, the made to order cat stocking! This is an Eco Felt stocking in red or green that features your pet’s face and any letter of your choice on the cuff. I can ship one pre-stuffed with a catnip carrot or catnip dinosaur from my shop. If you’re interested in one for your pup, send me an email and I’ll work on a prototype.

Personalized pet ornaments and stockings are wonderful and unique gifts. They are sure to delight on the Christmas tree for years to come.

Work in Progress, Holiday Ornaments, Cat Stockings, Tea

The holiday season is upon us and is hopefully my busy season. I am focusing on some work in progress for a show at Llewellyn Elementary this weekend, working on my new personalized cat stockings, and some special order ornaments today. And drinking some tea which I see now is nearly empty.

I am also starting to list some of my 2014 Christmas ornaments including my new pirate star. This little one has a red ribbon to hang on the tree and a fabric loop sewn on the back if you want to use it as a tree topper. I’ve been topping my tree with one of these for the past couple of years and it always proves popular.

Llewellyn Elementary School Holiday Market 2014

I am pleased to announce that I will be at the Llewellyn Elementary School Holiday Market on Friday, November 14th and Saturday, November 15th. The show is from 2:30-6 pm on Friday and 10-4 on Saturday and is located at 6301 SE 14th Ave in Portland, Oregon. Please stop by and say hello! They will have a raffle going with proceeds going to benefit the PTA and one of my mini monsters will be up for grabs!

Monster Plush Are Back

Monster plush are back in my shop starting today!

I spent the past week sewing, finishing, and photographing my original and much loved monster plush. There are a couple up for sale on the website now and more will be listed over the next week.

Monster plush are sewn from either super soft fleece or textured corduroy. Each face is handsewn so each monster has a unique personality. All Panda With Cookie plush are sewn to be gender neutral kids toys that are meant to be enjoyed by all ages. They arrive to you ready for adventure!
